LegalBill AI is an AI-powered tool that helps legal professionals convert voice recordings into formatted billing entries. The Service uses OpenAI's API to transcribe audio and generate billing language. We do not provide legal advice.

2. Professional Responsibility — Attorney Obligations

Important notice for attorneys: You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of this Service complies with your jurisdiction's rules of professional conduct, including obligations regarding client confidentiality under ABA Model Rule 1.6 and applicable state bar rules.

By using LegalBill AI, you agree to:

Never speak client names, case details, or identifying information into voice recordings. Use matter numbers only.
Take full responsibility for any client information you choose to include in recordings.
Independently evaluate whether this tool complies with your state bar's ethics opinions on the use of AI and cloud services.
Review all AI-generated billing entries before submitting them to any billing system or client.

3. AI-Generated Content

Billing entries generated by LegalBill AI are produced by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all entries before use. LegalBill AI is a drafting tool, not a replacement for professional judgment.

4. Data and Confidentiality

Voice recordings are transmitted to OpenAI's API for transcription and processing. OpenAI's API terms state that data submitted via API is not used to train their models. Audio is processed in real time and not stored by LegalBill AI.

We strongly recommend you review OpenAI's API data usage policy before using this Service with any matter-related information.

LegalBill AI does not guarantee that your use of this Service satisfies any particular confidentiality, privilege, or data protection requirement. You use this Service at your own professional risk.

5. No Legal Advice

LegalBill AI is a productivity tool for legal billing. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal services.

6. Beta Service Disclaimer

The Service is currently in beta. Features may change, be discontinued, or contain bugs. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or availability during the beta period.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegalBill AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any professional discipline, malpractice claims, or client disputes arising from AI-generated billing entries.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
